There is a good number of scholarships and awards available at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. These opportunities are for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in all the programmes offered at the university.

The essence of these scholarships and awards is to support International undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students commencing full-time study at UNSW. The scholarships are of two categories. While some will provide a full or partial tuition fee payment, others will provide only stipends to assist with the costs associated with the study programmes. Applications are now open for 2022 Term 2 programmes.

Scholarship benefits

Scholarship benefit depends on the programme for which it is awarded.

1. International Scientia Coursework Scholarship (PUCA1025)

This has two offers. Offer 1 is full tuition fee scholarships paid directly towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of program; while offer 2 is $20,000 per annum paid directly towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of program.

2. UNSW Business School International Pathways Award (PUCA1023)

$15,000 paid directly towards tuition fees for 1 year.

3. UNSW Business School International Scholarship (PUCA1024)

$5,000 per annum paid directly towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of program.

4. UNSW Law & Justice International Award (PUCA1028)

$10,000 paid directly towards tuition fees for 1 year.

5. Australia’s Global University Award (PUCA1026)

$10,000 for 1 year. Payment will be made towards tuition fees in the student’s second term of the first year of study

6. UNSW Global Academic Award (PUCA1027)

This has two offers, offer 1 is $5,000 for 1 year and offer 2 is $10,000 for 1 year. Payment will be made towards tuition fees in the student’s second term of the first year of study

7. Future of Change Scholarship (UGCE1283)

$10,000 p.a. paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program.

8. Future of Change Scholarship Schools Bursary (UGCA1594)

$10,000 p.a. paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program.

Eligibility criteria for University of New South Wales International Scholarships

Before general eligibility criteria, each scholarship has its own specific eligibility criterion. Let us list the scholarships and their specific criterion first. For you to be eligible for:

1. International Scientia Coursework Scholarship (PUCA1025), you must be an International student commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program (excluding PG online and UNSW Canberra) in Term 2, 2022.

2. UNSW Business School International Pathways Award (PUCA1023), you must have an undergraduate or Masters articulation pathway qualification from an approved partner institution; or completed the UNSW Foundation Studies Commerce or Commerce Actuarial stream prior to commencing study at UNSW. You must also have UNSW Business School undergraduate (single/dual) or postgraduate (Master) coursework degree program (excluding any program offered by AGSM).

3. UNSW Business School International Scholarship (PUCA1024), you must be a students of UNSW Business School undergraduate or postgraduate coursework (single/dual) degree program (excluding any program offered by AGSM).

4. UNSW Law & Justice International Award (PUCA1028), you must be a student of UNSW Law undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program (LLB, JD or LLM programs).

5.  Australia’s Global University Award (PUCA1026), you must be an International student commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program (excluding PG online and UNSW Canberra) in Term 2, 2022.

6. UNSW Global Academic Award (PUCA1027), you must be completing a UNSW Global Foundation Studies program (in Sydney or off-shore). You must also be an International student commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW Undergraduate (excluding UNSW Canberra) in Term 2, 2022.

7. Future of Change Scholarship (UGCE1283), you must be a citizen of India, and not a permanent resident of Australia; be residing in India, prior to commencing study at UNSW for undergraduate applicants. Postgraduate applicants may have prior residence in Australia; and be commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program (excluding PG online and UNSW Canberra) in Term 2, 2022.

8. Future of Change Scholarship Schools Bursary (UGCA1594), you must be a citizen of India, and not a permanent resident of Australia; be residing in India, prior to commencing study at UNSW for undergraduate applicants. Postgraduate applicants may have prior residence in Australia; and be commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program (excluding PG online and UNSW Canberra) in Term 2, 2022.

Generally, for you to be eligible for any of the University of New South Wales International Scholarships, you must have received an offer of admission into an eligible program for Term 2 2022 by 31 March 2022.

The University of New South Wales International Scholarships are of two types – those that require applications and those that do not require applications. The following scholarships require applications:
